Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
1. Introduction
CoreOutpost is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who use Netwatch. This Privacy Policy describes the nature of information handled in connection with your use of Netwatch, our data practices, and your rights.
2. Architecture and Data Philosophy
Netwatch is architected as a self-hosted application. All network monitoring data is collected, processed, and stored exclusively on hardware owned and operated by you. CoreOutpost does not operate any centralized servers that receive, process, or store your network data. We have no visibility into your network, your devices, or your monitoring activity. This is not merely a policy position — it is a technical reality of how the Software is designed.
3. Information Collected by Your Local Installation
When deployed on your infrastructure, the Netwatch agent and server collect the following from your local network and store it locally on your hardware — never transmitted to CoreOutpost:
- IP addresses of devices on your network
- Device hostnames and names
- MAC addresses and manufacturer information
- Device type classifications
- Network latency and availability status
- Dashboard preferences stored in browser localStorage
4. Information Collected by CoreOutpost
CoreOutpost collects minimal information only in these circumstances:
Website Analytics
Standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps. Used only for security and aggregate usage patterns.
Support Communications
When you contact us at netwatch@coreoutpost.com we receive your email address and message content, used solely to respond to your inquiry.
What We Do Not Collect
CoreOutpost does not collect any data from your local network, device names, IP addresses, usage telemetry, crash reports, geolocation data, or any information from minors.
5. Third-Party Services
The Netwatch Software does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. On initial launch, the agent may make a one-time request to download the IEEE OUI database — a public registry of network device manufacturers. This database is cached locally and the request is not repeated.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. California residents have additional rights under CCPA. European residents have rights under GDPR. CoreOutpost does not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights contact us at netwatch@coreoutpost.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
The Software is not directed to individuals under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information please contact us immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this document.
